(More customer reviews)My 5 year old grandson loves everything Thomas. I love them because they are great teaching tools for teaching valuable life lessons. Friendship, honesty, faithfulness, dependability, caring, sharing, and punctuality are taught in these stories and isn't that what we all need to get along better in life. These later edition Thomas DVD's are fully animated and that just makes them all the more appealling to children. Hope they keep up the wonderful work.

Thomas and the Magic Railroad (2000) Review

(More customer reviews)Our 3yr old boy loves Thomas. We have all the videos and trains, etc. He wants to watch this thing every day. He repeats lines from the movie and acts them out all day. It was great for him. We took him to the movies to see it together. He loved that, too. For him, we would do it all again in a minute.
As parents, we could have done without the "mean-ness" of Diesel #10 and the fact that he wants to "dominate and destroy". He also uses the word "stupid" several times. Not nice.
As adult movie critics, we saw laughably poor acting (with the exception of "Mr. Conductor" and "Junior". (Notice that even some of the 5-star reviewers agree.) Britt Alcroft directed and wrote it, and it is obvious that she should have asked for help from someone who knew what they were doing. If you pay attention, expect to be confused. We expected more because we actually enjoy watching all of the other videos, and they are really well done.

Thomas & Friends: Wobbly Wheels & Whistles Review

(More customer reviews)My son was sick yesterday and wanted to just lay on the couch all day. He wanted this movie on all day, even when he was sleeping off and on he wanted it on in the background! "Wobbly Wheels & Whistles" is a DVD with four Thomas & Friends episodes back to back. Thomas and his friends have to move Jobi wood, cross Shake Shake Bridge, work together, understand priorities, and most important have fun! The one train tries to be the most useful engine by doing everything he can, but then he doesn't finish and it is poor workmanship, he realizes that he needs to prioritize and say no to jobs he doesn't have time for. Another episode features an older train afraid of the woods but he doesn't want to ask for help or admit he is scared. It is a great DVD full of great lessons and perfect for any child! I love the new CGI animation used because everything is so brightly animated and fun looking!
