Vanished (2001) Review

(More customer reviews)I have watched all of Cloud Ten's end time movies. While none of them were stellar, this one was abysmal. It seemed like it was John Hagee's effort to showcase himself, more than anything else, by calling it a documentary. It was a bottom dweller when it came to production values, using recycled clips from Apocolypse more than new footage. It completely lacked both plot and character development. If it was to be a documentary, then it should have had some scripture to it. If Hagee's preaching is as lean on scripture as this film is, then I think I will skip ever watching that the same as I advise skipping this waste-of-time. There are plenty of halfway decent films out there for sharing with friends about the end times, but this one is totally worthless.

The Path of the Wind (2010) Review

(More customer reviews)This movie was not exactly what I expected in a "Christian Movie". I was surprised with the good acting and extremely good plot. Everything was natural and realistic.
The quality of the filming was equally good. Nothing at all in the amateur way.
This movie is NOT your typical "goodie-two-shoes" Christian movie. The whole movie was a surprise...not only the ending.
I whole-heartedly encourage everyone to watch this flick! It is a winner in my book!!

(More customer reviews)Just in time for the holidays, Christmas Child is a return to those heartwarming Christmas movies that we grew up loving. William Moses plays journalist Jack Davenport and Megan Fellows portrays his wife Meg. The movie takes us through their marriage struggles during the holidays as Jack seeks to find his roots after the death of his father. Both actors come across as genuine and engaging. Steven Curtis Chapman is surprsingly good in his role as Pastor Curtis. Although shot in Oklahoma, a timely snow in Tulsa makes for a convincing portrayal of the Chicago scenes.
With the recent onslaught of zany Christmas comedies and off-the-wall perspectives on the holiday, Christmas Child provides a more traditional and yet entertaining Christmas story. Best of all, this a movie you can watch with the kids without having to hit the mute button or explain adult humor. A movie that all ages should enjoy.

Final Warning (1995) Review

He has written one of the major fictional accounts of the Lords second coming and the End of Days but this is NOT fiction - this is real! This is a great DVD as well as a great work of Christian prophecy - very good to learn more about the coming End times.
There is also a very compelling docudrama DVD Movie on the End of Days see:
The Final Events DVD
The movie is great because it shows CNN like news reports of what will happen during the End Days.
Both are well recommended. These movies are fantastic good to show unbelievers as it is very powerfully convincing.
I have used the Final Events more often because of the docudrama type style, but both are good if you are shopping by price only.

Billy Graham Presents - Road to Redemption Review

(More customer reviews)It's always a risk to buy a DVD sight unseen, but I bought this gem based on some reviews I've read and the fact that it's made by Worldwide Pictures who have produced some great movies (Vow to Cherish, Something to sing about).
Road to Redemption tells of a young couple Amanda Tucker (the lovely Julie Condra) and Alan Fischer (Jay Underwood) who are sick of struggling along financially so "borrow" some money from Amanda's boss who also happens to be a Mob boss, along with the money comes racing tips for some fixed races so off they go to the racing track. All does not go to plan and Amanda finds herself having to leave town to track down her Grandfather Nathan (Pat Hingle) in order to hit him up for some cash so she can pay back her boss.
There are some excellent performances put in by the lead actors as well as the supporting mobsters Tony Longo as Vincent the enforcer is very amusing as it Wes Studi as Frank Lightfoot. There are some real funny set pieces in this film and some of it reminded me of the also excellent Dumb and Dumber (minus the crudeness).
Road to Redemption is a family friendly comedy with real heart. It's extremely amusing and a joy to watch. It also very moving and touching as well as Amanda gets to know her Grandfather and learns about what is most important in life. I recommend it whole-heartily for anyone needing a good laugh and it's refreshingly free from smut, foul language and jokes made in bad taste.

A young couple struggling with their finances is looking for a way to make quick money. She and her boyfriend Alan decide to take a chance and "borrow" the money, bet on a winning horse, and get out of debt. Her plan goes awry and the mob goes after them. She has no choice but to ask her estranged, wealthy grandfather for help. (More customer reviews)I was crying most of the time, a wonderful story of a man who was seeking the Truth, a life long search that ended in victory, he found Jesus Christ, but to his amazement, he had seen him all along because of the verse Jesus gave him, "whatever you have done to the least of these you have done for me". On the mans search, he stopped to help a leper colony and ended up spending his whole life there helping them out. At the end of his life he thought he had missed seeing Jesus but Jesus did appear to him and quoted the above verse. He had been with Jesus his whole life since he had been taking care of "the least of these".

The Perfect Stranger (2005) Review

(More customer reviews)The plot is simple. A lawyer named Nikki played by Pamela Brumley gets a dinner invitation on the night her husband is going to a ball game with his friends. She believes that the invitation is really from her husband who feels bad about leaving her alone on a Friday night, so she accepts. When she arrives at the resteraunt she finds instead someone she has never seen before, a man, well dressed, who claims to be Jesus Christ. At first she thinks it's a joke and wants to leave, but hey, why give up a free meal? She goes along with his story that he is Jesus Christ and proceeds to ask him questions about everything she can think of from various religions to the creation of the universe. What follows is one of the most interesting conversations put on film.
Let me state that I am not a born again Christian, but when I first saw this film I was glued to the TV, it is a film that makes you think. It is a film that is entertaining, it is a film that is as interesting to those of you who are not religious as to those of you who are.
I dispute the running time of the movie as listed here. The film times in at about 1 hour and 8 minutes in length. The closing credits include interviews with the stars of the film and the director and clock in at about 17 minutes. For a film that is a little over an hour the price is not bad. There are extra's on the DVD, behind the scenes ect.
If you are still not sure if you should see this keep in mind that it is a little over an hour long. Chances are you've wasted your time being dissapointed with films clocking in at over 2 hours before. The choice is always yours, if you don't like it- return it. Or better yet, because of the price, give it to a friend. I'm sure you know someone out there who would want to see this.
