(More customer reviews)I bought this video today for our 3- and 1-year old kids, who love the other "Veggie Tales" they've seen. But I also bought it for myself, thinking the "Gilligan's Island" spoof would be funny, and it truly was. Larry and Bob as "The Skipper" and his little buddy were right on target - it made me embarrased to see how much I remembered about that show! The story of Junior Asparagus getting his feelings hurt by the Grapes of Wrath initiated a discussion not only about forgiveness, but also about intentional cruelty. These tapes are wonderful for starting conversations with your children concerning morals, behavior and Bible teachings. Preschoolers just beginning to understand about making a mistake or causing pain will enjoy and benefit from this video. The music, as always, is a gas.

Dora's Big Birthday Adventure Review

(More customer reviews)My two kids loved this latest Dora adventure! Dora and Boots find themselves trapped in Dora's magic storybook, and have to work their way through the book to find the Wishing Wizzle and wish themselves to the real world in time for Dora's birthday party. Every time Dora and Boots get into trouble, they flash back to scenes from Dora episodes of the past that help them figure out how to solve their problems. This double-length episode was really cute, and my kids greatly enjoyed the re-appearance of characters and locations from long time favorite Dora adventures. Really well done!
The DVD also includes two older, Wizzle-themed bonus episodes, "Dora Helps the Birthday Wizzle" and "Wizzle Wishes," giving this DVD a total running time of about an hour and twenty minutes. Great Dora fun and highly recommended!

(More customer reviews)Whether you are a dog lover or looking to get a dog, Puppy Party is an new, adorable DVD from NCircle Entertainment. It is 70 minutes of dog-filled fun and perfect for both kids and adults. Now I admit it, I am not an animal lover, but I did enjoy this DVD.
Filled with over 25 breeds and hundreds of adorable puppies, the DVD is really jam packed with puppies. There are Heartwarming puppy moments, Hilarious puppy antics, and Puppy Facts about each breed. The DVD is even educational as it gives information about each breed and showcases the dogs.
My youngest son loves this DVD as he loves dogs. Even though he doesn't understand the facts or the different breeds, he cracks up at when the puppies do funny things. I think this DVD would be especially perfect if you are planning on getting a puppy as it would get your child excited or even to put on the TV for your own dog to watch. (My mother-in-law leaves the TV on for her dog.) It really is a cute DVD and for the price you can't beat it!

Sesame Street: 123 Count With Me (2010) Review

(More customer reviews)When Ernie drops by "The Furry Arms" hotel to return a missing key he found, he ends up giving everyone a lesson in counting, and also ends up getting hired as hotel manager! Ernie soon discovers that when he "Dings The Dinger", Benny The Bunny (Kevin Clash-who also does Elmo) will bring him something different everytime, depending on the number of times he dings. For example, when Ernie dings 3 times, Benny brings 3 pillows. Ernie however, does not need the pillows, and tells Benny he's glad he now knows what happens when he dings 3 times. This running gag goes during the entire video, and it gets quite funny. Most of the segments in this video are well chosen, such as a neat segment with singing crows, and the fantastic "Honk Around The Clock"! I also find the new songs very catchy, and have found myself sing them quite often! This not only gets five stars becalse it's much better then "The Great Numbers Game", but also becalse it's extremely funny! In recent years, The Furry Arms seems to have been deleted from the show. Why? It was such a great place, and I liked Natasha's parents having a job! Oh, well. At least we have this video!
