Surprisingly strong plot for a film based on Virtual Reality.Virtual reality is a natural for softcore films, as anything can happen, including non-stop nudity and simulated sex, because VR is only limited by the imagination. For some reason, most of the couples erotica films based on this premise seem to be whodunnits, where someone dies during a VR session, and a detective must enter VR to catch the killer. This time, the victim is practically "Mr. VR," and the location is an exclusive Beverly Hills VR club. Detective Kate Rodger is assigned the case. She lives with her boyfriend and former partner who was shot and disabled in the line of duty, and her belief that it was her fault has made her unable to respond sexually to him. When she is forced to enter the VR world to look for clues in the victims past sessions, she is an easy target for seduction. Meanwhile her significant other begins to suspect that he should be jealous of VR. The film remains fairly tightly focused on Kate Rodger and her investigation and growing addiction to virtual reality. You might be also interested in the following Erotica titles:

Submission of a Woman (1991) Review

(More customer reviews)"Submission of a Woman" aka "Al Calar della Sera" is part rape & revenge/part giallo film. It's a difficult film to watch, but is worth purchasing. Very intense! If you're a fan of "I Spit on Your Grave", "Assault!", "The Killer Must Kill Again", etc. Check this film out!!! Very overlooked!!!!

Piranha (1978) Review

(More customer reviews)Joe Dante's Piranha is a very humorous spoof and a fine homage to Steven Spielberg's classic Jaws. Though plagued with poor acting from Bradford Dillman, Heather Menzies, and Keenan Wynn, this is definitely not the type of film that you would ever take seriously. The inside film jokes and cinema references add a lot of intelligent spice to the film's proceedings, but it is the cheesy yet effective special effects by Phil Tippett (Robocop) that make Piranha a must see for mosnter movie buffs. Watch out for the obviously fake piranha as they make a spectacular bloddy debacle of a children's summer camp. The DVD edition of Piranha has many elaborate features including a Joe Dante commenty, a making-of-documentary, film bloppers, and other theatrical trailers of Corman films. P.S. Joe Dante would later go on to direct such horror classics as The Howling and Gremlins.
